The event was held at Loblaws Maple Leaf Gardens location in their cooking school. We were able to sample party perfect appetizers and have the opportunity to prepare a special dish using President’s Choice Black Label products.
I was super excited to meet all the amazing President’s Choice chefs, including Tom Filippou, who showed me how to flip my crab cake without having it land on the floor. Now that was impressive, right?
The evening was so much fun. I met so many wonderful people who work behind the scenes at President’s Choice. Of course, the best part was the little nibbles.
The event included a “never ending” charcuterie station that featured an assortment of PC Black Label Cheeses and PC Black Label Raisin and Black Currant Artisan Crisps. (I could eat a whole box of those crisps by the way). Then there was an hors d’Oeuvres area that included Hot Pepper Pinchos, Bacon Marmalade Toasts and Whipped Gorgonzola and Pear Canapés. Could you ask for anything more? No. But that was only the beginning.
There were food stations serving Veal Sliders, Lemon Infused Mushroom Triangloli with Parmigiano and of course the best crab cakes (because WE made them) with Lemon Aioli. Then to top it all off, there was the grand finale, Pistachio Ice Cream Profiteroles with Chocolate Espresso Sauce. Each and every station was expertly manned by one of the President’s Choice chefs, and we had a load of fun stuffing our faces with goodies.
If there was one thing that I’ve learned over the past six months, it was never to be afraid to #PlayWithYourFood.
I think you know how much I love getting creative in the kitchen. Learning to incorporate PC Black Label products into my recipes has been effortless. The quality and variety of products makes a world of difference when creating something unique in my kitchen.
This event was a great way of winding up an amazing collaboration with President’s Choice Black Label. I really enjoyed working with them and look forward to what’s in store for 2018!
