Serves: 1 cup
  • 2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ⅔ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan, Pecorino or Romano cheese
  1. pulse basil, garlic, pine nut, salt and pepper in in a food processor.
  2. slowly drizzle in oil and pulse until smooth.
  3. add in salt and pepper to taste.
  4. mix in cheese by hand.
