Sharing My favourite #bananabread recipe with you

Sharing My favourite #bananabread recipe with you today. My family loves it and hopefully you will too!

* ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
* ¼ cup oil (I used grapeseed)
* 1 cup white sugar
* ½ cup brown sugar
* 2 x-large eggs
* 1½ cups mashed ripe bananas (I use 3 medium well-ripened bananas)
* ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 2 cups AP flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 cup seni sweet chocolate chips ( you can add pecans or chopped walnuts too)
* ½ teaspoon salt
* additional brown sugar for top of batter

Directions - preheat oven to 325F
1. Mix together butter, oil, sugars and eggs.
2. Add mashed bananas, sour cream and vanilla, stirring together well.
3. Mix in flour, baking soda , baking powder, chocolate chips (and nuts if desired) and salt, stirring until it is well blended.
4. Pour into 1 greased large loaf pan lined with parchment for easy removal
5. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips & brown sugar generously over top of batter, using your hand to gently pat some of it into the batter.
6. Bake for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours , check with toothpick to see if done.
7. Allow bread to cool in pan for about 20 minutes, then lift out the parchment paper and cool on wire rack.

It’s been a while. Thought I should dust off my camera and make a banana bread today so here you go.

My mom used to make what she called flatzy chicke

My mom used to make what she called flatzy chicken all the time. It was deep fried to a golden brown and absolutely delicious l. I decided to put a twist on it and air fry it (for a healthier version). Recipe below enjoy!

2 large chicken breast, butterflied, cut each piece in h half and pound to 1/2 inch thickness
Season each piece with sea salt and garlic powder on each side.

Dipping station :

Bowl 1 - AP flour
Bowl 2 - 2 x large beaten eggs
Bowl 3 - 1 cup coarse panko crumbs + 1 cup corn flake crumbs
Avocado oil spray

Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes @ 375F
Dip chicken pieces into flour, then egg and finally the. crumbs
Place two pieces of breast into the air fryer, spray with oil and cook for 7 minutes.
Flip, spray and cook for another 3 minutes

Remove and repeat with remaining chicken. Serve immediately and enjoy!

It’s been a while since I baked anything so Steve took it upon himself to make a #cheesecake.

Recipe

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar, divided
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
3 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream
Cheese, softened
1 tsp. zest and 1 Tbsp. juice from 1 lemon
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla, divided
3 eggs
1-1/2 cups sour cream
Mix graham crumbs, 3 Tbsp. sugar and butter;
press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
Bake 10 min.

Beat cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar, lemon zest,
juice and 1/2 tsp. vanilla with mixer until well
blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating on low
speed after each just until blended. Pour over
crust.

Bake 55 min. to 1 hour or until center is almost
set. Mix sour cream, remaining sugar and
vanilla until well blended; carefully spread over
cheesecake. Bake 10 min. Run knife around rim
of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing
rim. Refrigerate 4 hours.

Only 4 ingredients and I used these cute little @theskinnypop sea salt rice cakes - topped them with organic #peanutbutter, homemade strawberry jam then dipped in melted dark chocolate with a sprinkle of fleur de sel. Chill and enjoy!
