A Simply Beautiful Getaway to White Oaks Resort & Spa

Looking for an escape to get a little work-life balance? I have the perfect place for you.

This past weekend, Steve and I were guests of the beautiful White Oaks Resort and Spa. Living in Ontario, there are so many places to visit for a bit of rest and relaxation. We are always looking for places to visit that are close by, but far enough from city living.

When White Oaks Resort and Spa offered us a complimentary stay, we leaped at the opportunity.

Their property is just gorgeous, and is situated in the heart of wine country on 13 manicured acres in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is also conveniently located within 15 minutes from the Shaw Festival Theatre(s), the Old Town of Niagara-on-the-late, Fallsview Casino, Casino Niagara and Niagara Falls.

Even better? The drive is only just over an hour outside of Toronto.

White Oaks Resort & Spa is a hotel with a host of outstanding amenities. They offer a world class conference centre, five star accommodations, award winning dining at LIV Restaurant and Play Bar + Grill, plus an amazing Spa and fitness centre at The Club at White Oaks.
From the moment we arrived to the minute we checked out of the hotel, our experience was phenomenal.
We began our stay with a Wine Tour arranged by the resort. Our driver Gerald was just wonderful and a true gentleman.
After visiting four wineries, we returned to our stunning hotel suite and were blown away by the the serenity and decor of the room.
There were two gift bags waiting for us filled with my favourite spa products and some very cool new socks for Steve!
Once we freshened up, we made our way to LIV Restaurant and enjoyed one of the finest meals we have ever tasted. Our server Ashley, was a sweetheart and made our evening and dining experience so memorable.
After a perfect snooze in our very comfy room, we started our day with a workout in the resort’s state of the art fitness centre followed by a delicious breakfast on the outdoor patio at LIV Restaurant.
We then made our way across the street to The Outlet Collection at Niagara for some “retail therapy”.
Our spa treatments were scheduled at 4 p.m. and we totally enjoyed the pampering. Steve had a massage followed by a facial. That facial was a first for him and he really loved the experience. I had the most relaxing hot stone treatment and felt like all the stress was completely washed from my body.
Later that evening, we ventured into St. Catherine’s for dinner followed by a stroll (and ice cream of course) at the Port Dalhousie Marina.
The next morning, we packed and enjoyed another leisurely breakfast on the patio of LIV restaurant then walked along the beautiful pathways of the property before checking out of the resort.
White Oaks offers so many packages for great prices, so if you’re thinking of doing a little trip with the girls or your special significant other, I highly suggest a little getaway here.
It was truly so good for our mind, body and soul and we came back refreshed as ever ready to take on another busy week.
